TRAVELLING PAVILION IN ARLES, FRANCE, 2018

Challenge

To design a one of a kind sustainable Art Pavillion, which can be fully assembled and disassembled in both city and rural environments and can facilitate an international Exhibition CONTEMPLATION by a photographer and thinker Matthieu Ricard, and diversity of other art projects in the future

Delivery

ideation, design, engineering development based on bamboo, the most renewable material on the planet Earth

Outcome

1400m2 bamboo pavilion designed and prefabricated by the architects in Colombia, and assembled on site in Arles, France. The one of a kind travelling gallery offers 400 m2 of exhibition area and 600 m2 of outside corridor for the visitors, 70 m long, 10 m high. The structure can be entirely disassembled and reassembled: it is an itinerant project that aims to travel the world, meet new places and new audiences.
